Powerchair Football is a format of football designed for people with high levels of physical impairment. Players use specially designed electric powered wheelchairs to dribble, pass, and shoot. The sport is fast-paced, dynamic, and very enjoyable to watch. The unique nature of powerchair football allows all ages, disabilities, and genders to compete together.

As part of our sponsorship, IMSM will pay for the club’s training kit and will feature on the players’ name banners and chairs. We will also be attending the 2018/2019 end of season awards, presenting trophies to the club’s chosen winners.

Michael Bright, Managing Director at IMSM, said: “IMSM are extremely pleased to be able to support Sevenoaks Powerchair Football Club. Every day IMSM assists small to medium sized enterprises in the UK and internationally who want to improve their performance and gain an ISO Management Standard, so that they may achieve their goals and objectives. We wish all involved at Sevenoaks Powerchair Football Club all the very best in working to achieve their objectives.”

Adam McEvoy, head coach and fundraising officer for SPFC said, “Receiving support from IMSM Limited has been fantastic, not only for Sevenoaks as a club, but for the sport of powerchair football in general. Building a new, positive relationship will only raise awareness of our game to the wider public and highlight the talents and skills of our players. Everyone at Sevenoaks Powerchair Football Club would like to express their thanks and gratitude for the support from IMSM and look forward to the season ahead.”

Sevenoaks Powerchair Football Club was established in 2012 to provide powerchair football opportunities for people in Sevenoaks and the surrounding areas. The club achieved charity status in 2015.

Many participants have life-limiting conditions. Due to their disabilities, players are unable to take part in most or all forms of sport, therefore powerchair football offers them the chance to play football alongside their peers, socialise, and have fun like any other young person.

Sevenoaks are currently on a high after a hugely successful 2017/18 season. Their national team secured the WFA Championship title, remaining unbeaten all season, whilst their development squad secured promotion to division 1 of the south east regional league.
